One Horse has been accepted as a member of the Alliance To End Soring. This is going to be an awesome group and hopefully will hasten the end of this horrible practice.

We are so very pleased to announce One Horse At a Time has been accepted for membership in The Homes for Horses Coalition. I recieved notification from Liz Ross, Federal Policy Advisor of the Animal Welfare Institute, just this afternoon. This is a wonderful group that we hope to work with and through. http://www.homesforhorses.org/

These are a few a the basic beliefs held by this organization of professionals, and mesh well with our own.

-Every horse has intrinsic value and deserves humane treatment at all stages in life.

-The horse industry, including the equine veterinary medical profession, has an obligation to promote responsible horse breeding, ownership and care.

-Horse owners have a responsibility to provide high-quality, long-term care for their horses.

-All horses deserve a humane end to life and that horse slaughter is neither humane nor acceptable.
